Warwickshire Adult and Community Learning, rated ‘Good by Ofsted, provides a diverse range of learning opportunities to adults across the county.

A key priority for our service in 2019 is to expand and strengthen the Active Learning programme offered to adults with learning disabilities and/or learning difficulties. The goal is to promote independence. Would you like the opportunity to enable learners to achieve this goal and live full and independent lives in our community?

The Role

If so, we are looking for an exceptional tutor to teach both Cooking Skills and Life Skills from September. This is an opportunity to share your knowledge and skills and make a real difference both to the programme and to the individuals you teach.

You will be joining an experienced and dedicated team of tutors, who are committed to improving the skills and raising the aspirations of adults with learning disabilities and difficulties.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to join us on a fixed term and prove the value of this work. If the programme is successful, it is likely that there will be permanent opportunities for the right person.

Key Requirements

You will be a qualified and experienced teacher of adults, with excellent and current subject knowledge. You will need to have an innovative approach to teaching and experience of working with learners with a range of disabilities. You must be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and to supporting the rights and aspirations of under-represented groups.

This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
