We are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in Science with a specialism of Physics and/or Chemistry to deliver outstanding student achievement and continue the division’s commitment to driving forward the provision of vocational science programmes.

As an ambitious lecturer, you will work closely with all the Curriculum Managers and the Programme leader responsible for the course provision to maintain and develop the curriculum and maintain the excellent results within the Division. You will also liaise with other cross-college areas to enhance the student experience.

As a Lecturer you will teach, relevant to subject specialism, up to 416 hours per year.

Ideally you also possess a PGCE or Certificate in Education. However should you not have this, the College has an excellent Staff Development programme where a recognised teaching qualification can be gained.

Qualified to degree level in Physics or Chemistry or a related subject, ideally you will possess detailed knowledge of current curriculum delivery within Further Education and Higher Education and of current issued in HE/FE relating to the curriculum. Preferably, the ability to show experience of teaching Physics and significant industry experience would be advantageous but not essential.
