37 hours a week (full time).
We are seeking to appoint two inspirational leaders to be Advisers for Teaching and Learning for Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic multi-professional team and for those looking to develop their skills at a more strategic level across Bedford Borough.
The successful candidates will work as part of a team in order to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND. This will be done by supporting and challenging school leaders at all levels, analysing data and implementing strategies to improve practice and consistency of approach across the education system in Bedford Borough.
The successful applicants will be educated to degree level, have Qualified Teacher Status and be a qualified SENCo in either a primary or a secondary school. They must be able to demonstrate successful middle or senior leadership and management experience within educational settings or a local authority, and have a proven track record in analysing performance data and providing advice which has led to a rise in outcomes for children and/or young people with SEND and a closing of the achievement gap.
