Salary: Grade 13 £47,495 per annum.

Wakefield Council is looking to appoint a dynamic Skills Strategy Manager to drive forward the Council's Skills and Employment priorities for its residents. This opportunity will take the successful candidate on an exciting journey including the initiation of some significant employment and skills programmes. These will be directly delivered by the Council with the sole aim of transforming the economic prospects of its residents.
We are looking for someone with significant experience in the development and implementation of strategies to ensure successful outcomes in relation to Employment and Skills. A track record of collaborative delivery alongside multiple agencies is equally as critical, with the post-holder playing a central role in transforming the District's approach to raising the earnings and skill levels of its residents.
You will have experience of managing large scale projects to target and on time and an expert ability to manage change through developing a collaborative and collegiate approach that brings local business and residents together to enhance job opportunities across the District.
You should understand the seamless links that need to be made across a wide range of public and private sector organisations in order to meet the District's skills and employment challenges outlined in Wakefield's Economic Strategy 2018-2023.
