The Department for Education recently announced funding of £40m to create 21 Centres For Excellence for Maths. Christ The King Sixth Form is delighted to be leading the Math’s Centre for Excellence in London and South East.
We are looking for an experienced and aspirational maths practitioner to work collaboratively with local schools and colleges to design, deliver and disseminate best practice. The successful candidate will help with the development and evaluation of new, high quality teaching methods and support the further education sector to use diagnostic tools to facilitate more targeted teaching.
You will be an excellent teacher, with the ability to motivate and lead teams to raise standards in post-16 education. Your experience in teaching and learning, your understanding of the pedagogy of mathematics teaching, your leadership skills and your ambition to make regional and national impact to post-16 maths will ensure the success of this project.
The project is initially funded for three years, and may be extended beyond this point. Applicants interested in working full time or part time will be equally welcomed.
