The Creative Industries department are looking for a 0.6 FTE teacher to support the delivery and quality of our Film & TV delivery at our Lichfield Campus, with a specific focus towards Higher Education in TV & film production, and production technologies.
The department has media courses across a range of levels and prides itself in the opportunities we give to our students to work on client based projects that reflect industry practices, and in undertaking projects that reflect industry expectations.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated and experienced teacher in film and TV, someone who is engaging and supportive towards learners, and has the ability to enthuse and adapt their approaches to meet learner aspirations and interests.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with our already well established team, and a sound understanding/experience of further educational practices, but with a focus towards that of Higher education.
Candidates will need to be highly skilled in photoshop, After Effects, and have practical camera and lighting skills, which have ideally been developed through their own industry practice, and in maintaining current video production and film technologies skills.
The successful candidate will have a degree or Higher relevant Creative Media / Film & TV qualification and full teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) together with significant experience of teaching. You will also have experience of HE delivery and quality processes with a need to demonstrate Safeguarding and PREVENT expectations. You should also be able to show examples of professional practice to draw real life experience and value towards supporting our learners.
