If so, Bournemouth and Poole College are looking for a lecturer in Engineering Electronics to join their team at their North Road campus. As part of our Engineering team, you will deliver high quality and effective teaching to Bournemouth and Poole College students. You will be supporting and guiding the learners who are working towards their Electronics Qualification. As a Lecturer in Engineering Electronics, you will be responsible for the continual development of student’s achievement through identifying learning objectives, provision of educational programmes and production of study materials; creating an outstanding student experience that will progress to employment giving students opportunities of success! You will occasionally provide pastoral support in accordance with agreed procedures and act as a personal tutor to the students; assessing students work, monitoring progress and working towards individual targets. You will also have the responsibility of keeping records and providing timely reports to learners, parents, employers and college managers, as appropriate. Other duties include: managing student issues within agreed protocols, participate in colleges appraisal process, undertake training where appropriate, ensure the health and safety of others creating an enjoyable learning environment for all.
Key responsibilities, skills and attitudes
Experience and Knowledge of current practice in Electrical Electronics
Experience in facilitating learning for students
Level 3 or above in relevant subject area
Higher level Mathematics qualifications (level 4 or equivalent)
Practical electronic skills
Flexible and adaptable approach
Strong communication skills
Ability to cope positively with change
Desire to form positive working relationships
Willingness to participate in events/open evenings
