South Staffordshire College is looking for a Motor Vehicle Teacher to join the Motor Vehicle team at our Rodbaston Campus, delivering Motor Vehicle Technology in both theory and practical workshop-based lessons.

Our students include 14-16s, full time and apprentices who are aiming to become motor vehicle technicians/mechanics. A good knowledge and experience in the Motor Trade is essential as is experience of teaching and assessing both full time learners and apprentices.

The successful applicant will have a level 3 qualification from a recognised awarding body, e.g. C&G, IMI, Edexcel etc and have experience working within the motor trade as a vehicle mechanic. They must also be willing to work towards a teaching qualification as part of their role.

An Assessors award is vital and an IV award would prove advantageous, as would a level 2 qualification in Key Skills and a manufacturers qualification. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of environmental sustainability and safeguarding.
