Do you want an exciting, dynamic and rewarding career where you can make a real difference?

Sunderland College is one of the largest colleges in the North East.

Having successfully merged with Hartlepool Sixth-Form College, the College has further exciting plans for community-based growth and has been selected by Northumberland College, subject to process as its merger partner. Rated by Ofsted as Good with very stable finances, the College are on a student-focused, employer-led journey to be Outstanding.

To support their progress, the College needs an innovative and dynamic strategic leader to shape and develop how they best use their MIS and IT resources to generate business intelligence to support the very best decision making, drive efficient curriculum planning, and optimise funding – and to continue to innovate and support their teachers and students to achieve ‘Excellence’. This is a new role and will be an important member of the Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will be a proven MIS and IT leader, an expert in FE funding who can demonstrate innovative approaches to simplify and transform existing systems and merge new ILR’s. This appointee will use IT and MIS creatively to drive forward business across a multi-campus college, stretching over a large geographical area. The College are not looking for a ‘data cruncher’ but seek an energetic leader of a large team, who really does see the bigger picture!

We are looking for somebody who will bring a new strategic capacity to develop and improve delivery and quality across the college. You will have the agility and adaptability to work at pace, having gained experience and built a track record of success working in a Good or Outstanding College(s)

We want a lot from you; including a proven track record of success with data, curriculum planning, funding in 16-18 19+ and Apprenticeships. Drive, ambition, motivation, with clear communication and transformational leadership skills are essential to make a quick impact, as is an ability to work effectively and closely with the Director of Quality.

In return, a progressive market rate salary is on offer, including relocation expenses, membership of a supportive and committed Senior Leadership team, underpinned by superb staff and students who the College is very proud of.
