Are you ready for a new challenge?
Do you have the experience, skills and enthusiasm to make a real difference for apprentices and other learners in Derby City Council and across the city?
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced apprenticeship manager to help grow our already successful apprenticeship programme.
Derby City Council is an employer provider and the Adult Learning Service provides the in-house apprenticeship training to Council staff across all departments and in local schools and a wide range of other accredited and non-accredited provision.
We currently offer apprenticeships in a range of subject areas including Supporting Teaching and Learning, Business Administration, Customer Service, Early Years, Health and Social Care, Non Uniformed Public Services, Team leading and Business Management. However, we are also looking to grow the offer to better meet the needs of the Council.
You will have experience of successfully managing the delivery of a good/outstanding apprenticeship offer and experience of managing staff and resources. This role will work closely with a range of internal departments and other employers; developing and managing effective working relationships will be critical to the success of this role.
Working with senior managers, the post holder will ensure the successful training of apprentices as part of the Council’s workforce strategy and proactively seek opportunities to work with external employers.
If you have the knowledge and experience of managing apprenticeships, a good understanding of the apprenticeship levy and relevant curriculum management experience, we would like to hear from you.
To arrange an informal discussion about the post and/or to arrange a visit, please contact Debbie Watson, Head of Service on 01332 642300.
