Student and Curriculum Administrator

Working Men’s College (WMC) is the oldest surviving adult education institute in Europe and is currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly competent Student and Curriculum Administrator, who can offer a professional customer focused service, promoting a friendly environment to all visitors whilst also possessing strong administrative skills.

Why should you be interested in this position?

Situated in Camden, London WMC is at the heart of one of the most culturally exciting, diverse and dynamic London boroughs and helps to transform adult lives through education.

WMC offers a wide curriculum from our two main sites at Crowndale Road and Kentish Town and is seeing significant growth in our community based courses across the borough. September 2016 also saw the launch of our open learning centre, which provides extensive support for learning. So it is an exciting time to join a forward thinking, dynamic college.

What does the position involve?

The appointed person will provide general administrative support and customer care to students, staff and visitors, including accurately processing enrolment applications, answering enquiries in person and by telephone, handling cash and enrolment fees, updating the college’s MIS database system information and ensuring college procedures and processes are accurately followed at all times.
This is a demanding, customer facing position, so the ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a methodical approach with high attention to detail and accuracy and most importantly, a friendly, patient and tolerant personality. Ideally, you would also have previously worked in an education environment.

The position will require the post-holder to work on a rota which will include some evenings and an occasional Saturday.
This position requires the appointed person to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

If you feel you have the experience and attributes required to fill this role, we would be delighted to hear from you, please go to our website www.wmcollege.ac.uk for further information and details of how to apply. Completed application should be emailed to recruitment@wmcollege.ac.uk or by post to Human Resources, WMC – The Camden College, 44 Crowndale Road, NW1 1TR.

Please note that we do not accept CV’s as application for this position and do not welcome contact from recruitment agencies.

Closing date for this position is Monday 1st October 2018 at 10:00 AM

Interviews and assessment will take place on the Friday 5th October 2018.
