Chesterfield College is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Officer within their Finance function based at Infirmary Road, Chesterfield.
The role will involve assisting the Payroll Manager in preparing the monthly payroll including setting up new employees, processing expense claims, inputting data, administration of the College’s pension schemes and dealing with general queries. The successful applicant would also provide cover for the Payroll Manager and would be responsible for the setup and running of the smaller College payrolls. In addition, there will be a responsibility to assist the management accounting function in analysing monthly staffing variances and assisting with the creation of annual staffing budgets.
The successful applicant will have a ‘can do’ attitude to work, have existing payroll & accounting related experience and be familiar with Microsoft Office, particularly excel.
