Hugh Baird College is a large, dynamic Further Education College, in Merseyside, with an ambitious strategic plan, striving to be outstanding in all that it does. We have an opportunity within our Marketing Department for a customer focussed individual who is able to contribute to the development of the profile and reputation of the College.

You will be responsible for the timely and effective development and delivery of short and long term marketing plans to drive traffic to key events and support on-going learner recruitment. You will manage and co-ordinate college events including College Open Days, Enrolment Events, induction Week, Official Openings and VIP visits ensuring all staff and student briefings take place to ensure correct procedures are followed and a consistent message is communicated by all staff. A key part of the role is also the promotion and awareness raising of the College provision (including apprenticeships) to students in key feeder schools through a programme of school presentations and events.

In order to be considered for this role you will need to:

• Hold a Marketing Degree or relevant Business or Marketing qualification
• Have excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences.
• Be able to provide evidence of successfully coordinating the delivery of internal and external events.
• Have the ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure prioritising own work to achieve agreed objectives

The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of the post 11 education system and experience in a marketing role working on a range of creative marketing briefs, ideally with relevance to young people.
