This is a fantastic opportunity to join West Lancashire College as a full time lecturer teaching Science on our BTEC in Applied Science and Access to HE programmes, contributing to ensuring that excellent standards of teaching and learning are reached and maintained.
We need specialist subject skills in particular in Chemistry but also Biology and experience of teaching on Access to HE programmes as well as BTEC Level 3 Applied Science and A-Level Chemistry and Biology.
Your responsibilities will include:
•To deliver classes of a theoretical nature which are graded consistently good or better by the College observation system
•To prepare and deliver lectures and other associated learning materials in a professional and competent manner
•To prepare Lesson Notes and Schemes of Work as required and place on the College VLE,
•To assess student work against Awarding Body Criteria and track/monitor student progress and achievement using eTrackr
•To prepare and mark assessments, projects, tests and examinations & develop tracking systems in accordance with the requirements of the course
