The role of Apprenticeship Funding and Contracts Officer is fundamental to UCEM’s development and delivery of UCEM’s apprenticeship service. You will work closely with the Head of Apprenticeship Funding and Contracts to ensure that UCEM’s apprenticeship delivery is compliant with Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) requirements.

You will be responsible for, to name just a few:

• Supporting the development and maintenance of ‘Leaner File’ document templates to enable ESFA compliance.
• Providing information, guidance and advice to UCEM teams and UCEM subcontractors to support compliance with ESFA requirements.
• Creating and maintaining UCEM’s entries in the Course Directory Provider Portal.
• Advising and supporting other UCEM teams/staff members as required to enable UCEM to offer and deliver a first-class apprenticeship programme.

You must hold a L4, or equivalent, within professional experience and a minimum of L2, or equivalent, in English and Maths. Recent business support experience in either and apprenticeship facing role or within a role linked to ESFA is an essential requirement for this position along with the experience of developing processes and procedures. You must possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. You will be able to develop excellent working relationships with internal staff and external stakeholders. Evidence of recent CPD and a Bachelor’s degree is not essential but would potentially assist you in this position. Having experience of planning and undertaking audit work is a desirable quality for this role but is in no way an essential criterion to be successful within this position.
