Our engineering training centre is an exciting partnership between UKAEA Culham (UK Atomic Energy Authority), STFC (Science Technology Facilities Council) Harwell, and JTL - one of the top three work-based learning providers for the building services engineering sector.
There has never been a better time to be part of the JTL team. We already work with around 3,000 businesses and train more apprentices than anyone else in the sector. Our involvement in the training centre will allow us to contribute to the ongoing growth of high-end technical skills in the wider Thames Valley economy, which is now benefitting from £12.3million of capital funding. The training centre itself is based in Culham Science Park, an internationally recognised powerhouse of high technology, innovation and enterprise in south Oxfordshire.

Join the training centre and you will train apprentices and professionals alike in a rewarding and stimulating environment. As you might expect, this will involve developing, preparing and delivering high quality teaching and learning in all aspects of our engineering related theoretical and practical syllabus. But you will also play a vital role in ensuring that the training centre is operated and supported effectively so that it can offer a full range of core engineering courses and optional cutting edge modules for the benefit of apprentices as well as staff in local high tech businesses who need upskilling.
Ideally holding an Engineering degree or an NVQ/HNC or equivalent, you will already be using your strong teaching, mentoring and instructional talents in the training sector. Your proven ability to run a core Advanced Apprenticeship programme must be supported by exceptional planning and organisational skills. Above all, you`ll be excited by the prospect of influencing the higher apprenticeships and having a hand in developing a trailblazing pathway for new qualifications that respond to rapidly evolving employer requirements.
