Salary: SO3 (£30,785 - £35,444) – 37 hours

Stockport Continuing Education Service provides post 19 learning across the borough of Stockport in partnership with a number of public and third sector services. The majority of learners are additional language speakers following a blended programme of learning that supports them to achieve functional skills up to level 2. The Service is also growing its offer to communities and sees this as a key area for development by the new post holder.

The successful post holder will ideally have experience of working in a post 19 setting, have achieved a high standard of curriculum design and development, evidenced in their effective management of staff and through the achievement of outstanding outcomes for learners. The post holder is required to bring creative and imaginative approaches to the development of a curriculum that achieves good outcomes for learners, and promotes community cohesion and economic wellbeing.

Following a recent Ofsted inspection the Service is now judged to be good in all aspects of its work; this supports the future ambition of the Service to be outstanding.

For further information about the post and an informal discussion please call Sean Burke – Service Manager on 0161 474 5809 or e-mail sean.burke@stockport.gov.uk
