Mechanical Engineering Tutor - CEATA Canal Engineering Training Academy

Intro

We are seeking to recruit an experienced engineering tutor for our training division CEATA. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding training business which is part of a successful Nottingham based manufacturing company.

The right person will be an excellent team player with a drive for excellence in all matters relating to vocational training and assessment. Our tutors have very low caseloads but in return we expect them to manage the entire learner journey and exceed set KPIs. Quality and compliance are key and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the sector and ability to work with learners at all levels to achieve and progress.


Essential Requirements

Current teaching experience in a similar environment including delivery of apprenticeships in mechanical engineering – classroom and workshop
Vocational experience and qualified in a relevant subject at level 4 or above
Teaching and Assessing qualifications at level 3 or above
Strong IT skills
Achieve an enhanced DBS check

Desirable

Teaching of apprenticeships in fabrication and welding
Experience of e-portfolios
Knowledge of ESFA funding rules
Experience of a recent Ofsted inspection
Functional skills in English Maths and ICT
