Vocational Skills Partnership

Salary – circa £55,000 + benefits

Location: (Home based with regular travel to the South Wales region)

Vocational Skills Partnership (Wales) Ltd (VSP) is a truly unique training consortium that delivers high quality work-based learning qualifications and Jobs Growth Wales opportunities throughout Wales. Established in 2010 the consortium has four partners; TSW Training, Aspiration Training, Network Training Services and Educ8, employing c.200 staff across the four organisations. We deliver provision to more than 2000 learners (and growing) across a variety of sectors including Childcare, Business Administration, Engineering, Health & Social Care and Hospitality and offer Apprenticeships from Level 2 to level 5.

In our Estyn report we were rated as a Good provider, with prospects for improvement rated as “excellent”. In its report, the education watchdog noted that VSP “has excellent partnership arrangements” and “works with a wide range of key partners, employers and stakeholders to meet the needs of learners well.”

With an already robust quality and compliance framework in place, we are now seeking to appoint to the newly created post of Director of Quality & Compliance. Reporting directly to the Chair, this new senior post will be responsible for ensuring our organisation achieves consistently high-quality outcomes across the board.

Our ideal candidate will be based in or close to the South Wales region or be prepared to relocate to the area. Home-based with regular travel to the sites in Cardiff, Ystrad Mynach, Bridgend and Port Talbot, you will be an expert in work-based further education learning contracts in the UK and be fully experienced in the implementation and management of quality processes and policies within a multi-site organisation. You will have extensive experience of working with Ofsted and/or Estyn frameworks and will provide ongoing advice and recommendations to the Board which will inform strategic level decision-making.

This is an exciting time to be joining a growing organisation and offers a rare opportunity to influence the strategic direction of an organisation which continues to go from strength to strength!
