Harris Academy Orpington opened in September 2016, joining the highly successful Federation of Harris Academies in London. Since converting, results have dramatically improved, with a high positive progress 8 score of 0.73 in 2017, putting the Academy within the top 6% of the Schools nationally. Students also achieved above the national rates in GCSE English and Maths. Harris Academy Orpington is looking for a qualified Teacher of Maths: an exciting new position as we expand our student numbers in Year 7 and Post 16. This position is ideal for a newly qualified teacher. An NQT/teacher will receive the excellent support of an internal academy CPD programme but also externally across the Federation. You will join a very positive, willing and committed team who will challenge and support you. There are also opportunities for pastoral or curriculum involvement for the right candidate.
You must hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree to be considered for this role.
