Cromer Academy is seeking an inspiring, innovative, and dedicated food and nutrition teacher to join our team, working one day a week to cover maternity leave. We are looking for a teacher who shares our belief that all pupils have the right to succeed and have access to the very best education.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum for students and to support the food technology curriculum area. You will monitor and support overall progress and development of students and contribute to raising standards and student attainment. You must be able to enthuse, engage, motivate, and challenge pupils to raise achievement at all levels, and it is important that you have experience of delivering a food-based curriculum with some knowledge of food science.
Cromer Academy is a community school in its truest sense: it is at the heart of the area it serves, and is ambitious and determined for its young people.
The academy is in easy reach of some of the most spectacular beaches and countryside in the UK, but this is no sleepy rural school. Since joining the Trust we have seen results rise year on year, with the school now second in the county for pupil progress. The academy was recently rated Good by Ofsted with Outstanding ratings for leadership and management, and for personal development, behaviour and welfare.
As part of the Inspiration Trust family of schools we are committed to offering excellent professional opportunities and learning opportunities for our staff, through careful support and personalised CPD. We also offer a structured and specific induction programme.
