Salary: Sixth Form Colleges’ Teaching Pay Scale £23,396- £36,704 p.a (pro-rata) or
Portsmouth College’s Unqualified Teaching Pay Spine £21,664 - £22,111 p.a (pro-rata).

The Position

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to contribute to the teaching of our courses in the ICT Department. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to teach ICT at Levels 2 and 3. We would welcome applications from candidates who could also contribute to the delivery of Business and/or Applied Law. The post is at least part-time x 0.6 ICT teaching and could be up to full-time for the right candidate.

The successful candidate should have the ability to deliver the subjects in an engaging and creative way and have a proven record of motivating students to produce a successful and dynamic classroom environment. You must be willing to actively use hand-held technology to help facilitate student learning.

The department currently offers a range of BTEC/CTEC programmes in ICT and Creative Media at levels 2 and 3. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to teach at both Level 2 and Level 3. This post has become available due to an increase in student numbers across the college.
