Head of 19+ College
Salary range: £48,990—£53,963 (term time only)
The Talking Trust is extending it’s provision from September 2018 to provide individual and personalised learning, employment and living skills for students aged 19-25. The new 19+ College will be a separate provision from St Mary’s School and College , but falling under the umbrella of the Talking Trust. We are seeking to appoint a Head of the 19+ College who will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the provision. Our vision is to prepare students for a fulfilling life as an adult, create individual pathways to develop employability, independence, social skills and access to the community and provide exceptional specialist provision for students with speech, language, communication and other complex needs.
The successful candidate will have:
Teaching background (qualified lecturer, teacher, tutor, or trainer)
Experience of teaching post 16 students
Experience of working in an SEN setting
Previous involvement in development and implementation of strategic plans
Leadership and Management experience including line management responsibilities
Experience of vocational learning programmes 16-25
Experience of designing and running lifeskills, independence and personal development programmes
Experience of a residential setting including the CQC standards and statutory compliance
Experience of designing, monitoring and reviewing individualised learning programmes
Extensive safeguarding experience
