Charles Darwin Primary opened in September 2016 and we are continuing to grow. Popular with parents and offering a fresh approach to education in the heart of the historic city of Norwich, we mix an open and modern approach to teaching with a broad academic curriculum.

We are now looking for a Year 2 teacher to join us from September 2018. We set high expectations for our students and know that children achieve their best when they are challenged, engaged, and motivated.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring, and enthusiastic Year 2 teacher who is able to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that keep pupils focused on learning. You
will be knowledgeable about the Key Stage 1 curriculum and current educational thinking and be able to embrace the school ethos of high aspirations and lifelong learning.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Is committed to ensuring their practice highlights all children and upholds every child’s right to be accepted and treated with respect and dignity.
• Is passionate about teaching and places learning opportunities for all children at the heart of every decision made throughout the day.
• Is committed to delivering a knowledge-based curriculum.

• Is highly resilient and demonstrates a proactive, solution-focused approach to personal and professional development.

We can offer:

• A new and purposeful learning environment.
• A diverse and supportive parent community.
• A forward-thinking learning community: all staff who joined in September 2016 have either progressed or are working on new qualifications, with the support of the school.
• A supportive and child-focused senior leadership team: you will have your voice heard and will play an active role in helping to shape the direction of the school.
• A unique city centre location: we are in close proximity to a number of excellent external providers and take our children on regular trips into the local community.
