This is an exciting new post based in the Apprenticeships Unit - one of the first of its kind in a university. The aim of the Apprenticeships Unit is to promote and develop Degree Apprenticeships across the University. You will be part of a growing, highly motivated, proactive team engaging with a wide range of employers, learners and with academic colleagues from across the University to recruit to our growing portfolio of programmes and maintain strong employer relationships in this rapidly developing field.
You should have experience of working in a relevant digital environment and will be required to develop and manage positive relationships with Apprentices on Digital Degree Apprenticeships. This will include coaching them to develop and evidence their individual skills and professional behaviours, review visits, record keeping and dissemination of information.
You will provide ongoing academic and pastoral support to apprentices as Personal Tutor, and advise on learning materials and teaching, and offer advice and guidance in order to facilitate their transition, learning, performance and progression.
You will lead workshops, support, assess and provide feedback for apprentices’ e-portfolios which evidence their work based learning.
You will contribute to the management of, and provide professional support to enhance, student progression and performance on Digital Degree Apprenticeships.
You will provide the first point of contact for managers and mentors in the workplace keeping them informed of learner progress and referring to specialist support where required.
If you would like to join our people and share our ambition, we would love to hear from you.
