We have a large, dynamic and highly successful ESOL Directorate with provision across five East London campuses. Within the Directorate we offer a wide range of adult learning programmes including ESOL qualifications, Functional Skills and employability. We also offer study programmes for 16-18s, with a strong emphasis on progression to vocational or academic studies.

We are looking an enthusiastic, inspiring and committed Deputy Curriculum Director to have overarching responsibility for ESOL at the Hackney Campus and to work with the ESOL leadership team across the college group to develop the curriculum and drive up standards. Reporting to the Group Curriculum Director for ESOL, the role of the Deputy Curriculum Director is to promote consistency, high standards and an excellent experience for students alongside meeting income targets. You will be expected to line-manage a team of Senior Curriculum Managers, teachers and local administrators. Furthermore you will undertake observations of teaching and learning, support the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum and work effectively within ESOL leadership team to support day to day operations, curriculum development, quality improvement and the strategic aims of the both the ESOL Directorate and the wider college.
Please note this post will be based at our Hackney Campus but the post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the group as required.
It is essential that candidates have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, are teacher trained and have both management and teaching experience in this curriculum area.
