Do you believe that talent matters? So do we. As one of the UK`s leading work-based learning and apprenticeship providers, JTL is already a major force in the building services engineering sector - and we are now looking to build a team of Associates to provide occasional casework.
As a JTL Associate, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for undertaking workplace NVQ assessment and technical reviews. It`s a varied and challenging role that calls for verifiable and relevant industry experience and current knowledge of industry working practices and techniques.
If you have already worked with apprentices in a previous role, perfect. You will already know how to support and guide them through an apprenticeship. But as long as you have the necessary skills and qualities, we`ll give you all the support you need. The below will give you an overview.
-To support, guide and learners throughout the relevant learning programme as necessary and in line with JTL procedures, to support completion of the Framework or projected outcome within the expected timeframes.
-To carry out apprentice reviews as required and, as a minimum, in line with contractual requirements.
-To ensure that the pastoral relationship with the learner actively safeguards and promotes their health, safety, and welfare, especially in the case of young and vulnerable learners.
-Proactively engage with customers and regularly update employers on the progress of their learners, responding to any queries or issues in a prompt and professional manner.
-To ensure Pre-Placement Vetting for new and existing employers is completed in line with JTL procedures.
-To complete all required administration documents following contractual guidelines and within given timeframes.
-To foster good working relationships with external parties assisting with industry events when required and maximise promotion of JTL`s products and services.
-To maintain an awareness and understanding of JTL`s products and services, ensuring knowledge of the range and on-going developments is up-to-date, through participating in meetings and training and reading relevant briefing material issued by JTL from time to time.
-GCSE English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
-Good IT skills, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
-Driving Licence and use of a car.
-Recognised Health - Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely).
-Assessor qualifications (D32, D33 or A1/TAQA).
-Working knowledge of the building services engineering and related industries.
JTL is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all its employees to share this commitment. We welcome applicants from all sections of the community.
