Do you believe that talent matters? So do we. As one of the UK`s leading work-based learning and apprenticeship providers, JTL is already a major force in the building services engineering sector - and we are now looking to build a team of Associates to provide occasional casework.

As a JTL Associate, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for undertaking workplace NVQ assessment and technical reviews. It`s a varied and challenging role that calls for verifiable and relevant industry experience and current knowledge of industry working practices and techniques.

If you have already worked with apprentices in a previous role, perfect. You will already know how to support and guide them through an apprenticeship. But as long as you have the necessary skills and qualities, we`ll give you all the support you need. The below will give you an overview.

Key Activities

-Primarily to deliver all Functional Skills (FS) and Essential Skills Wales (ESW) to learners across the regions.
-Prepare and plan for the effective delivery of FS/ESW to meet the regional needs identified by the Functional Skills Manager.
-Maintain good administrative records of learners` progress to enable effective tracking and communicate effectively to regional staff and management.
-Enable each learner to achieve FS/ESW in line with the current National Standards.
-Support further skills development within JTL identifying good practice and implementing change.
-Conduct Assessment and Moderation activities of all the awards in line with Regional and National requirements and follow all QA guidelines.


Essential Requirements

-Teaching Qualification or CTTLS or equivalent at level 3 or above.
-Previous experience of FS/ESW delivery within a post-16 environment at Level 1 or 2.
-Knowledge and understanding of FS/ESW requirements and assessment.
-Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
-Good IT and communication skills.
-Driving Licence and use of a car.

Desirable

-Assessor and Internal Verification qualifications e.g. D32/D33 D34 A1/TAQA or V1/IQA.
