Tyne Coast College
Tyne Coast College is looking to recruit an outstanding candidate to the role of Principal, South Shields Marine School, following the retirement of the current postholder.
This is an established and high profile position and the successful candidate will be a senior postholder and member of the college’s Senior Executive Group. Overall, the Principal of the marine school will be responsible for developing the college's marine provision to increase income and profile, nationally and internationally. The post has specific responsibility for the development of opportunities for business growth, diversification and specialisation in South Shields Marine School; ensuring that the educational offer remains dynamic, innovative and responsive to sector demands and that its existing world-class reputation is maintained.
In addition, the postholder will be required to develop the college's renewable energies training income, to tap into new and emerging markets, building on existing marine and engineering specialisms.
