Harris Primary Academy Beckenham opened in 2015 with its first two Reception classes of 20 children each. The response in the local area was very supportive and we took an additional 46 Reception children in September 2016. In January 2017, we moved into our brand new, purpose built building, offering state of the art equipment and facilities. Each year we will take an additional 60 children into Reception year until the school is full in 2021. Our academy is situated in a quiet, residential area with large landscaping and grounds just opposite Kelsey Park in Beckenham. We currently have 14 full time friendly staff and are looking for someone who wishes to join our group to personally develop and grow with our academy at the same time as we do.

We are looking to appoint a qualified teacher to join our Early Years team as Phase Leader.

Your role:

You will be working in partnership with the Leadership Team to secure our academy's success and improvement, ensuring high quality education for all our pupils and improved standards of learning and achievement for all. Your main responsibilities will be:
•To work with the SLT to accelerate progress for all pupils particularly in EYFS
•To support, develop and coach teaching and learning across EYFS and lower Key Stage 1, so that the school has a consistently good or better teaching
•To lead and co-ordinate assessment across EYFS, maximising pupil and parental engagement
•To support day-to-day leadership in school

About you:

Holding QTS (or equivalent), you will have an record of excellent classroom practice in the EYFS, with involvement in whole-school initiatives. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, and an outstanding passion and drive for raising standards of teaching and learning.
