Harris Academy Merton opened in 2006 and serves students from Year 7 to Sixth Form. The current student roll is 1250, with a planned increase in our Year 7 intake over the next year taking our numbers from 180 to 240 students. Applications for places greatly exceed the places available. We are favourably located for public transport with good local access to bus, mainline train and underground links, as well as on-site parking for vehicles and bicycles.

We require an enthusiastic, qualified teacher to join our strong team of English specialists to contribute to raising standards from KS3 to Post 16. The English department is generously staffed, with small class sizes and TA support.

•have knowledge of the KS4 curriculum for both English Language and Literature
•have knowledge of the KS5 curriculum (beneficial but not essential)
