The Pre-school Learning Alliance is a leading early years charity and the largest voluntary sector provider of childcare services.

The Alliance is looking to recruit experienced Early Years Tutors and Assessors to join our team.

Experience of delivering training and assessing skills in the workplace is essential. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing vocational qualifications at intermediate and advanced levels - hours are flexible.

You must hold a recognised further or adult teaching qualification such as PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert.Ed, PGCE plus a vocational assessor qualification such as QCF Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, QCF Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) Certificate in Education in Post Compulsory Education (PCE) or equivalents.

You will be confident using ICT, to promote and support teaching, learning and assessment. You will also be required to support learners in their development of English and mathematical skills.

You must have up-to-date knowledge and skills in early years and aware of the needs and concerns of employers.

This role will cover Watford and surrounding area, however the Alliance runs a Nationwide Early Years training programme so applications are welcome from other areas.
