Harris Garrard Academy is an all-through 3–18 academy with approximately 1350 pupils on roll and joins the Harris Federation as a sponsored academy in September 2017. The academy is based in Thamesmead in a purpose built building. Our vision is clear: nothing is impossible and everything is possible, irrespective of personal characteristics or background. What we are looking for:
We are looking for inspirational educators who are committed to transforming lives and want to join an academy at this exciting time of transformation. The successful candidate will be superb in the classroom as well as having a proven track record of driving change within their department.
An experienced teacher, holding QTS or equivalent and a relevant degree, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of success in raising standards and innovation.
•As a senior leader, to assist the Executive Principal and the Principal in the strategic and operational management, development and leadership of the academy, and ensure the achievement of our ethos, aims and objectives within the context of the academy’s strategic and development plans.
•To be in charge of a range of responsibilities within the academy and to develop, maintain and operate appropriate systems for quality assurance in all aspects of our operations.
