Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

We are searching for an outstanding professional to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an exceptional teaching and learning experience for learners aged 16-18 on Study Programmes and L2/L3 Apprenticeship Programmes. They will also have a strong desire to share a love of their subject and industry and motivate and encourage students to reach their full potential.

Key qualities sought:

•HNC, or equivalent qualification in Engineering (at least BENG for HNC).
•A relevant teaching qualification.
•Excellent subject specific knowledge and skills, specifically around working with lathes, milling machines and including hand fitting skills.
•Up to date knowledge of CAD, CNC, and solid works knowledge would be an advantage.
•A good knowledge of engineering maths, science, product design, engineering drawing and materials.
•A wide knowledge base of maintenance engineering of all types.
•Relevant industrial experience.
•Exemplary use of technology (to be incorporated in teaching).
•Maths and English skills at level 2 (GCSE or equivalent).
•Excellent literacy and communications skills are essential.

Your role within the team will be to provide expert teaching to cohorts of learners throughout the duration of their qualifications. You will support learners as groups and individually through personal targets and learning plans to achieve to the best of their ability.

An additional market supplement could be available to suitably qualified and experienced staff.
