Perth College UHI is a leading member of the unique University of the Highlands and Islands group situated in the beautiful and historic city of Perth less than 50 miles from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. With a student population of 9,000 full and part-time students from 66 countries around the world and supported by 500 plus staff, the College provides highly progressive tertiary education covering a wide range of programmes from access and national certificate to honours, post-graduate and research levels in subjects as diverse as Air Services Training and Mountain Studies. Led by a new Principal appointed this year the College has an ambitious strategic plan to deliver an excellent educational experience focussed on students achieving their maximum potential supported by innovative and work-based learning with courses delivered by talented and inspirational staff utilising the highest quality facilities and resources. Following a restructure of the senior management team, the College is looking to make two pivotal appointments to ensure the success of its strategic ambitions.
The new Depute Principal will be responsible for providing strategic leadership of the College’s academic vision including design and delivery of a successful curriculum and student experience. Working closely with UHI partners you will have broad responsibility for a range of services including subject delivery & curricular design, student records, library services, quality, L&T technologies and Research. The successful candidate will also be a key member of the senior leadership team and will be expected to be able to demonstrate significant academic leadership experience in either FE or HE. Educated to Masters Degree or equivalent you will also have contributed at a strategic management level and have the necessary interpersonal skills to be an effective and inspirational leader.
