We are looking for an inspiring and engaging teacher of geography to join the department at Jane Austen College, one of Norwich's most popular schools. If you are an excellent classroom practitioner, who is flexible, highly motivated, and passionate about teaching your subject, then we want to hear from you. Applications from newly qualified teachers are welcome.

At Jane Austen College we deliver an aspirational, academic curriculum and place a high value on teacher expertise and subject knowledge. We believe that all students have the right to access a rich, academic curriculum, regardless of background or disadvantage. We are looking for teachers who share that belief and are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for their students.

The school is now well established after opening in 2014, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the head of faculty and subject team as we continue our curriculum development and play an important part in creating a faculty that aims to set the standard nationally.

Jane Austen College is an 11-19 secondary school. We currently have Years 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 within the school and look forward to welcoming a new year group next September. Growing gradually is allowing us to create an exceptional school, with the highest of standards. We are an English specialist school, with an additional post-16 specialism in humanities and the arts. We are also partnered with the Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form – the country's first maths and science specialist sixth form.

As part of the Inspiration Trust, the top schools group for secondary progress, we offer high-quality, personalised professional development in addition to excellent career development opportunities. At Jane Austen College, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise as a teacher and also develop your career, in a supportive and stimulating environment.
