About the role
To carry out daily cleaning in allocated areas and/or areas used by evening or weekend lettings as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Senior Premises Officer or Operations Manager.
To sweep and mop spillages in corridors and social areas.
Remove litter from entrance areas, including mat wells and recesses as necessary.
To undertake regular cleaning of toilets, including dealing with minor acts of vandalism.
To support cleaning of the poolside and associated sports areas. Charnwood College is seeking to employ a new member of staff to join the Housekeeping Team to carry out daily cleaning duties.
The position is 15 hours a week during term time: Monday – Friday 3.00pm – 6.00pm plus 30 hours a year to be worked during the school holidays
Salary & Benefits
NJC 06 (£15,014) FTE

Who we are looking for
Awareness of Health and Safety legislation, policy and good working practices relating to the role of the cleaner.
Able to work as part of a team.
Flexible, able to meet deadlines and prioritise situations as they arise.
Ability to undertake general cleaning duties.
Good knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials and chemicals.
