In this year of change we are delighted to have retained through inspection our Grade 2 Ofsted in both Seetec and Outsource.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Director who will be responsible for driving our commercial strategy. The role will suit someone with the vision and energy to achieve the significant organic growth potential inherent in the business.

Reporting to a Board Director, this is a hands-on, strategic and tactical management role, you will be developing a team and driving the growth of our Skills business through new and existing accounts. You will be customer-focused, with a proven track record of generating new business and performance managing for success. You will have an appetite to take the business-wide decisions that make growth happen.

Key Accountabilities

 To set, review and evaluate strategic priorities and objectives as part of the annual cycle of business planning; use business plan objectives and budgets to set departmental and individual objectives and targets.
 To evaluate and set our commercial offer to achieve a competitive market position, grow a stable employer base through key accounts and improve margins.
 To use current national and regional policy and funding changes, competitor analysis, LEP and employer trends to inform direction of travel at a strategic level.
 To provide leadership and drive to achieve culture change in re-positioning products and services; changing mind-sets and skill sets to achieve company and departmental strategic objectives.
 To contribute to the business transformation agenda by exploring product and service innovation through the efficient and effective organisation of resources and use of technology.
 To drive a culture of continual improvement; working with a wide range of data sources to monitor and analyse business performance and impact, implementing and evaluating improvement actions as appropriate.
 Liaison with external strategic stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the organisation contributing to policy debate and dialogue positioning the organisation as a thought leader and credible market leader.
 To act as a role model, coach and mentor to your own team and other employees as a senior and experienced leader and subject matter expert in your chosen field, enhancing others’ capabilities and performance.

Qualifications and Experience

 Experience in a similar role within an organisation in the vocational learning sector
 Successful senior level sales management experience with a proven track record of the strategic leadership of a successful sales function.
 Experience or exposure to working at a Board or Senior Executive level
 Track record of success in establishing a presence in new markets and building a solid sales pipeline
 Strong leadership, team building, communication, presentation and relationship management skills
