Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley is an 11-18 school for girls in North Beckenham which opened in September 2011. The academy has specialisms in Science and Enterprise alongside a broad, balanced and rigorous curriculum. The sixth form joined the Harris Federation Post 16 in September 2012 and is a mixed cohort. Harris Girls’ Academy Bromley is the number one school in Bromley for progress and one of the most successful schools in the country, with progress being amongst the top 1% of schools this year at +1.09 (Progress 8 2017). We are very proud of our academic and cultural achievements and are ambitious about the future.

We are looking to appoint a qualified, inspirational and dynamic Head of Chemistry or experienced science teacher to work with committed members of staff in our successful Science department.

What we are looking for:

•QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
•Strong subject knowledge
•The ability to teach the Science curriculum at Key stage 3, 4 and 5
•Someone with the ability to take responsibility for Key Stage 4 Chemistry
•A person who shares our common sense of purpose and high expectations of what students can achieve
