2 x 9.25 hours per week only (370 Teaching Hours per year plus 315 in-attendance hours per year)

Wolverhampton Adult Education Service is an Outstanding - Grade 1 provider delivering a wide ranging curriculum including accredited and non-accredited SFA funded courses as well as other non-SFA programmes. It serves the diverse communities of the City and has the success of learners in priority neighbourhoods at the heart of its mission.

The Service is looking to appoint a Tutor to teach Adults in the subject of ‘Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and/or Early Years Education’. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record for delivery of high quality teaching, learning and assessment in this subject area.

Successful candidates will hold a teaching qualification, an assessors’ qualification and a degree or equivalent in their relevant subject specialism. In addition, candidates will have a broad range of experience in Post 16 education and training with excellent communication and organisational skills. You may also have a proven track record in learner support, curriculum development and outstanding curriculum delivery. Knowledge of the requirements of a variety of exam boards, accreditation modes and means of assessment relevant to adult learners is desirable.

You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of adult learning contexts and the motivations and barriers facing learners, and you will also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of working with people with disability and/or special needs which is essential in some delivery areas.
