Academy Improvement Leads (AILs) are critical to our core school improvement team function, focused on developing and challenging whole school leadership and the leadership of teaching, across the Trust as well as within geographical hubs.

About the role


You will have a proven track record of school improvement and an unwavering commitment to building a culture of outstanding practice across our network.
You will have been a successful school leader, recognised for outstanding leadership.
You will have experience of rapid turnaround school improvement.
As a system leader, you will recognise outstanding practise and be highly effective in supporting and challenging Head teachers and leadership teams towards this aim at pace.
You will be skilled in using a range of information to analyse, evaluate and determine appropriate improvement programmes.
You will be committed to working as part of a large multi academy Trust, where standardised practice of effective approaches is key to driving improvements and raising standards.
You will be highly skilled in identifying areas of strength and improvement across a number of academies, sharing and embedding effective practice with rigour and at pace.
You will be experienced in holding teachers and senior staff to account for improving outcomes.
You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, inspiring confidence in others.
You will have experience of curriculum standardisation and developing world class approaches.
You will be committed to the continual improvement of a core knowledge curriculum approach.
You will have the ability to improve the impact school leaders have in developing the quality of teaching and its impact on learning.

To apply for this position, please submit your CV and covering letter to by 25th October 2017. Interviews will be held on 27th October. The role will be based from our Grantham office but you will be deployed to schools, sometimes for fixed periods in an Executive Head role, and / or to lead on rapidly improving teaching, model excellence, as well as playing a trust-wide advisory role. In addition you will line manage head teachers within a geographical hub.
