Summer 2018 Examiner Vacancies – vacancies are open!

Be part of the team of teachers who make results day happen

As we move into the new academic year, with many specifications being assessed for the first time in 2018, now is a great time to apply to join our examiner community.

Our examiner community is made up of practising teachers looking to build their skills and knowledge of the specifications and gain insight into the exam process.

The exam marking period starts shortly after the exam has been sat and continues for around 3 weeks. During this time you will be expected to mark for around 2 to 3 hours a day. Although your students will be on study leave, it is still a demanding time for teachers so you will need to organise your time well. All teachers will be supported by a team leader who will guide you through the process and provide any additional guidance over and above your training. Most of our qualifications will be marked and standardised online in 2018, which gives you greater flexibility.

Earnings in your first year will be between £500 and £1,000. This will rise in subsequent years should you choose to increase your allocation which we keep smaller in your first year.

So, if you have taught your subject, with any awarding body, for at least three terms within the last three years, apply now to examine with us in 2018.

Simply visit our website and complete the application form. Or, for more information call us on 01483 556161 or email examine@aqa.org.uk.

Please note if you are an existing examiner there is no need to reapply, we will be in contact with you in the Autumn term.
