Three posts based in York
Salary in the region of 50-55k
Due to a combination of internal promotions and retirements, Askham Bryan College is seeking to appoint three new curriculum directors at its York site.
These are key senior appointments to the College’s senior management team that will oversee the development and operational management of the educational programmes of between 500 and 800 full-time equivalent learners.
Our students study a wide variety of subject areas including: Agriculture, Horticulture, Arboriculture, Animal Science, Equine, Sport, Engineering, Outdoor Adventure, Motorsport, Public Services and English and Maths. In addition, we have large numbers of students studying at foundation level and considerable NEET outreach provision.
Whilst an understanding of one or more of these subject areas could be an advantage, direct experience and knowledge of these subjects is less important than a solid track record of highly effective, student-focused curriculum management ideally against a background of high growth and high quality.
We are looking for inspirational educational leaders with excellent operational management skills, the ability to make a considerable strategic contribution, strong communication and change leadership skills, strong knowledge of funding issues and mechanisms, alongside the ability to drive the delivery of quality student experience in an FE setting.
Whilst these roles primarily oversee full-time 16-18 and part-time adult provision, a working knowledge of apprenticeships and Higher Education would be an advantage.
Closing date: Monday 4th September 2017
Interviews: Week beginning Monday 18th September 2017
