Sunderland College opened a brand new £30m City Campus in September 2016; providing an excellent learning environment with a focus upon technical education. Fabulous industry standard facilities provide a realistic working environment to support the learning experience and prepare for industry. There are five commercial outlets, three of which are located in the Salon Professionals area of the campus; City Salon, City Barbers and City Spa. These outlets operate as successful commercial businesses and are open to the general public as well as providing invaluable industry experience for students to demonstrate their skills.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Commercial Salons Manager to work within the existing Salon Professionals team. The job will involve working in our City Campus hair, barbering and beauty salons/spa, managing a successful business and providing a high quality service to clients as well as supporting learners to achieve their potential.
Successful applicants should be highly-motivated, enthusiastic and proactive with extensive knowledge and demonstrable experience of successfully working within the Hairdressing industry. Additionally, knowledge, experience and expertise in the Beauty Therapy industry would be advantageous. A key focus will be to drive the commercial business forward meeting and exceeding agreed income targets and levels of service.
