Are you a skilled project manager looking to make your mark in an exciting, growing area of our business? To apply for a role with us, please click "Apply Now".

Creative Education, the UK’s largest provider of professional development for teachers, is looking for a talented, enthusiastic Project Manager to help support the delivery of a range of new training and development projects within the further education sector.

We have a number of current projects you will be able to support on, plus further in the pipeline. These projects focus on teacher development – either through provision of training courses or collaborative research projects. Working in the Tenders team you’ll also support the development of proposals and the delivery of new projects as they come on stream.

The job will be familiar to any experienced project manager – scoping projects, setting out clear milestones, resourcing them effectively, delivering the project, managing project staff, reporting the project’s progress, evaluating its effectiveness and engaging with staff and clients.

We’ll be looking for a project manager with recent and relevant experience, preferably over a wide range of different kinds of projects. Some form of accreditation such as PRINCE2 or APM would be a definite advantage, as would experience in FE or training sector.

As a small, family business you’ll find little of the hierarchy and baggage that comes with working for a larger corporate. Without all of the red tape it’s a great opportunity to gain significant experience and be right in the thick of it.

Successful candidates will need:

• Highly effective planning and organising skills
• Decisive judgement, and be a good problem solver
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness
• The desire and ability to develop their professional skills

The role is based at our head office in Croydon – just 10 minutes walk from Sanderstead, Purley Oaks and South Croydon station and less than a minute’s walk from South Croydon bus Garage. We’re accessible from Victoria, London Bridge and Three Bridges in 30 minutes.
