We're looking for a pioneering director of initial teacher training to lead our innovative new programmes from September 2017. The role will be part-time (0.6 or 0.8) for 2017-18, becoming full-time from September 2018.
As the Inspiration Trust’s first Director of Initial Teacher Training you will work with our Director of Education, our Trust-wide Subject Specialist Leaders and our school principals to create and develop an academically rigorous, mentor-owned, school-based, subject-focused initial teacher training programme in our primary and secondary schools.
We aim to furnish new supplies of high-quality, high-impact teachers who are capable of tackling low achievement and the effects of disadvantage through passion for subjects, a knowledge-based curriculum, research-informed pedagogy and extensive cultural enrichment.
The Director of ITT will build leadership and management structures and arrangements that will place scholarly communities of subject mentors at the centre of our definitions of quality in ITT.
