‘The reputation of the Academy in the local community is improving and an increase in applicants for places in Year 7 is testament to its growing popularity’. Ofsted 2014
Cordeaux Academy is an 11-19 community school and proud to be part of Academies Enterprise Trust network of schools. We serve the communities of Louth and its surrounding areas and are ideally placed for easy commute from North East Lincolnshire and parts of South Yorkshire.
Cordeaux is a special and unique place; you will discover this when you visit and feel the friendly, well-disciplined atmosphere which radiates through every part of the school. We have a strong team of staff who are united in encouraging students to work hard, achieve their best and respect others. This means setting the highest standards for each individual student.
We are looking to appoint into the post of Site Officer. This is an important role for our school community with the main focus being to help maintain and enhance our school and make sure our students are safe on the site.
The successful candidate will help support the development of the school site and premises. This will include working with the senior team to ensure that the premises are fit for purpose and meet the requirements of health and safety legislation and the curriculum.
The role is predominately operational, therefore you will be required to have a ‘hands on’ approach and lead by example, as you will spend a significant proportion of your time involved in practical site activities.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience of working in a school (or has equivalent skills) in the trade and can contribute to the development of the school site.
• Has knowledge of buildings and project management.
• Is committed to whole school development and is willing to keep abreast of developments in the Facilities Management field.
We can offer:
• Students who will inspire you and make you proud to be part of the Academy’s learning community
• A school with a supportive senior and middle leadership team.
• An environment where morale is high and staff turnover is low
• Tailored CPD opportunities to develop and work across AET’s network of schools
We actively welcome visits for you to learn more about us. Please contact Sandra Firth at 01507 606555 should you wish to arrange a visit.
As the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them.
