Higher Education Lecturer – Teacher Training/Education

We have two vacancies for Teacher Training/Education Lecturers (HE)

Vacancy 1: Full time (35.5 hours)

Vacancy 2: Part Time (15 hours per week – likely Tuesdays & Wednesdays / requires evening work up until 9pm).Actual salary for Vacancy 2: £13,328 – £17,375 Per annum)

About the Role

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of educators? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HE Lecturer in Teacher Training/Education to join our dynamic team at DN Colleges Group. Based at UCNL and UCDon, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and academic support to students on our teacher training programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, engage in scholarly activity, and support students through their academic and professional journeys. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the quality and impact of our higher education provision.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A degree, postgraduate qualification and PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification

Minimum Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy

Demonstratable experience teaching in Further Education

Strong subject knowledge in teacher training and education

Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in line with HE quality standards

Support curriculum planning, development, and review

Provide academic and pastoral support to students, including observation of teaching practice

Contribute to programme documentation, self-evaluation reports, and quality assurance processes

Participate in promotional events and student engagement activities

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance programme delivery

Engage in continuous professional development and scholarly activity
