Hours: part-time variable
Salary: Hourly rate: £25.25 (unqualified)* or £26.38 (qualified)* inclusive of holiday pay.
Plus, membership of Teachers’ Pension Scheme
*the base hourly rate is £16.29 (unqualified) / £17.02 (qualified) per hour, plus payment for holiday and preparation and marking time, which gives an approximate hourly rate of £25.25 (unqualified) / £26.38 (qualified) per hour.
About the role/person
York College is seeking an experienced A Level Sociology Teacher to join our dynamic and collaborative Sociology Team, with the role starting in the next few weeks.
The expected start date is 10th February 2025, however the actual start date will be negotiable depending on particular circumstances.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching Sociology at A Level, with the ability to inspire and engage students. About the College
We are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more one million people. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us.
Our wide range of education options span entry level programmes through to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and accredited professional courses to courses for professional development.
