Job Details
Fixed Term contract, 10 hours per week, through the end of the academic year.

To contribute to the Department’s aim to provide high quality teaching, learning & assessment and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area in the Department. To plan, deliver and evaluate creative and innovative teaching, learning and assessment for levels 1, 2 & 3 in Hospitality and Tourism specialising in Travel & Tourism.

Key Responsibilities
- To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
- To deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes including the personal development curriculum and tutoring.
- To deliver and assess on Level 1, 2, 3, programmes as required by the demands of the curriculum.
- Producing sequencing documents and schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
- To maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning.
- To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the students.
- To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.
- Have extensive experience of working in the Travel & Tourism industry
- To undertake classroom, workshop and/or educational trip risk assessments as required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLs or equivalent teaching qualification
- 5 GCSEs at Grade A* to Cor grade 4 and above including Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience of working in the Travel & Tourism Industry
- A recognised qualification in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism to at least level 3
